Steps taken by HRTC to Minimise the Accidents:
Rigrous training to drivers at the time of initial recruitment.
Strict disciplinary action against the drivers committing accidents.
In service training to the accident prone drivers.
Ban on cassette players and fixing of bigger size rear inner view mirror.
use of Breath Analysers to detect driving under the influence of liquor by drivers.
Periodical medical checkup of drivers.
Attending buses in the workshops as per the maintenance schedule prescribed by the vehicles manufacturers.
Issuance of medical fitness certificate by the technical supervisory staff at the time of out-shedding after repair.
No bus is operated on a road unless the same is declared fit by the Road Inspection Committe for operation of a bus.
Refresher courses/training is imparted to the drivers by the PCRA and chassis manufacturers.
Ban on mobile to the driver while on duty.
